ALEXANDRE FREILE

Alexandre Freile is a French perfumer whose passion for scent grew from childhood in France—close to Paris and surrounded by the country’s rich perfume culture, cuisine, countryside, and changing seasons. These early sensory experiences—blossoming spring gardens, sun-drenched summer days, earthy autumn woods, and winter’s smoky warmth and confections—ignited his lifelong fascination with fragrance and memory. Determined to understand the craft from the ground up, he studied at the Perfumery School of Versailles and completed an internship in Grasse, the historic heart of perfumery in southern France. He then joined Firmenich (now dsm-Firmenich) in Geneva to refine his training under master perfumers and broadened his perspective with international experience in Singapore and São Paulo, ultimately establishing himself as a creator with global insight.

Freile’s approach blends deep appreciation for nature with thoughtful technical skill, drawing on his education at ISIPCA and years of atelier practice. He crafts fragrances that balance fresh, floral, fruity, and woody accords, evoking both emotional resonance and artistic structure. Working with brands across regions—from Avon to Brocard, Crusita, and Jequiti—his portfolio showcases versatility and a refined ability to translate mood into scent, whether through vibrant citrus leads, lush florals, or textured, layered compositions.
