LEONARDO LUCHEZE

Leonardo Lucheze discovered fragrance as a child after winning a lavender perfume at a Festa Junina, an early encounter that grew into a lasting fascination with scent. He studied pharmacy, worked in quality control and research, and moved to France in 2015 to attend perfumery school. His scientific background later led him to specialize in aromatherapy at the Pacific Institute in California in 2020. Lucheze joined Takasago’s Paris team in 2022, building a career shaped by travel, cultural immersion, and close attention to raw materials. Music also feeds his imagination: he plays drums and guitar in a rock band.

Contrast sits at the center of Lucheze’s creative language. Inspired by places where extremes coexist, from Brazilian landscapes to Namibia’s stark shifts in temperature and texture, he translates opposing sensations into perfume, pairing effects such as cardamom’s freshness with nutmeg’s warmth. Influenced by Jean-Claude Ellena, he favors concise formulas that allow individual ingredients to speak clearly. His portfolio spans houses including Elie Saab, Carven, Gant, 4711, Hugo Boss, Granado, Masaki Matsushima, and Joop!, with recent creations including Elie Saab Le Parfum Absolu and 4711 Fig & Vetiver. His work is distinguished by clarity, contrast, and exploratory energy.
